What happened to the Old Rubity? Welcome to the new Rubity! We are very happy to release a completely new look and user experience. A note about the security of Rubity.com. At Rubity, we are primarily concerned with your privacy and the security of your kids' information. We have many policies in place that ensure only those whom you want to share with will see your kids. Only those friends and family you specifically invite can see any of your kids lists. Invitations you receive will alllow you to see their kids. If you receive an invitation and you want to share your kids lists with that person, you have to invite them. It is this way that we ensure the highest level of privacy. If you have any questions about the site, feel free to email support@rubity.com. Also, if you have any suggestions as to what we could be doing differently or better or things you would like to see that are not here, email us at suggestions@rubity.com.

There are some questions that we have anticipated and have tried to answer here:

How can I get help on the site? We are currently working on the help system for the site. Additionally, we are also investigating some really cool new technology to present a site tour that we hope everyone enjoys as much as we enjoyed making it.

What are "Friends and Family?" Friends and family are the people you invite to view your kids lists. Although anyone can join the site, you must be invited by someone to see their kids and their kids lists.

Why do I have to invite friends and family For security purposes, we set up a mechanism by which only people you have approved can see information pertaining to your most treasured resources -your kids. While anyone can join Rubity.com, no one can see your kids or your kids list unless specifically invited by you. Similarly, you must be invited to someone to see their kids.

If I have been invited as a friend (or family), and I can see their kids, why can't they see mine? We have tried to envision a vast number of scenarios involving the ever changing landscape of family diversity. In English? We recognize that families vary in: number of parents, temperament of extended family and general strength of relationships. We realize that nothing can be as sensitive as family relationships and we cannot anticipate the tone of every family. We have chosen to err on the side of caution and allow you, as a parent, to have tight control of who is in your family, who you consider a friend, who can see your kids and who will share parental responsibilities as they pertain to Rubity.com

Can I add more parents? Absolutely! We live in a world where the term 'extended family' has come to mean something more intimate. More and more we are finding families where kids are loved by parents and step-parents alike and we embrace all family types! That notwithstanding, we also feel that you may want to extend the wish list maintenance capabilities to grandparents, au pairs or even the family baby-sitter.

Can I see the "friends and family" of those I have invited? No. For security reasons, we feel that each persons family and friends should be private within the Rubity.com site.

If you have any questions about the site, feel free to email support@rubity.com. Also, if you have any suggestions as to what we could be doing differently or better or things you would like to see that are not here, email us at suggestions@rubity.com.
